Terms of Service

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms apply to your use of Google Analytics Conversion Tracking (the "App"), provided by Metricby ("we", "us"). By installing the App you agree to them. If you use the App for a business, you accept them on that business's behalf.

The App

The App sends your Shopify store's ecommerce events to a Google Analytics 4 property you choose. It is installed and billed through the Shopify App Store, and Shopify's terms also apply.

Your responsibilities

• Connect only Google Analytics properties you are authorized to use.
• Choose a consent mode and maintain a privacy policy and cookie banner that meet the laws that apply to your store.
• Remove or turn off other tags that send the same events, so data isn't duplicated.
• Don't misuse the App, interfere with its operation, or use it to break any law.

Pricing

The App is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will announce them in advance, and charges will only apply after you approve them in Shopify.

Data

Your store data stays yours. We handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. Data sent to Google Analytics is governed by your agreement with Google.

Availability and accuracy

We work to deliver every event accurately and on time, but the App depends on Shopify, Google and the shopper's browser. GA4 can take up to 48 hours to report data, and consent choices, ad blockers and third-party changes can affect what is measured. The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost revenue, profit or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending use

You can uninstall the App at any time; we then delete your App data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend access if these terms are breached or if required by Shopify or Google.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post changes here with a new effective date; continued use means you accept them.
